fax broadcast problem

Postby aoycute » Mon Mar 13, 2006 11:07 pm

I'm going to use fax broadcast for scramble. I've scanned my documents to pdf file with 100 DPI and sent the documents to my fax account to check if they were readable. What happened was I couldn't read them because the resolution was too low. I would like to know if I scan my documents with higher DPI (let say 150 DPI), will the program directors receiving my documents via fax be able to read it? I have tried to scan with 150 DPI and sent to my account but they turn out bigger than A4 paper.
Thank you

Welcome to the faxing world.

There are a few solutions to the problem. First one is easy:

Eliminate page margines in your PDF: make them 0.

If this does not help,
1. Make sure the image is b/w
2. Fax resolution is actually close to 200DPI
3. If the image is already b/w, make sure it is not a grayscale, but just two colors Black and White. Make sure that the black is black (000000) and not some shade of gray.
