Leading questions ? Kindly quide me

Postby Farhan » Thu Jul 05, 2007 9:45 pm

I am confused about leading questions and close ended questions and how to avoid them.
Do you have pain with ur periods ?
do you have a cough ?
Do you have fever?
Do you have fever and night sweats ?
do you ahve ..this or that ?
Are these all Leading questions ? How do you guys differentiate Leading and close ended questions? Please reply ASAP .thanks

Dont worry about asking leading Qs. Practice getting the history done in 5-7 minutes.

Yes, they are considered leading or closed-ended questions. An example of an open-ended question is "Why did you make an appointment to come to the office today?" or (after listening to the patient say) "Yes, I understand. Do you have any other concerns?"
