Dear Anatolyk,

I am an IMG having EAD card and SSN.
If I apply for 2007 match,is it considered similar to green card by program directors?
Green card is under process and it will be there before mid 2007.

Thanks.

I assume you are asking how to answer this question in ERAS.

You are asked about your expected immigration status as of the date when you start your residency.
So, I would answe it as Permanent Resident.

Permanent resident or conditional permanent resident?
I am concerned.

Thanks.

I do not think CAF makes this differentiation. There is just one relevant choice - Permanent Resident.

I have seen options which include permanent resident and conditional permanent resident in ERAS profile.
So what should I mention in that.

Thanks Anatolyk.

If you are getting your Green Card as a spouse of US citizen, you are going to get a conditional permanent resident status and this is what you should select in the CAF. If you expect a "regular" permanent resident status, then select "permanent resident" in CAF.

Can you explain regular permanent resident.
Well I am having EAD and SSN and my interview for green card will be around December,2006.
So should I choose conditional Permanent resident?

Thanks.

I think we are going rounds here. Permanent Resident status can be conditional and unconditional. Whatever status you expect to have by July 2006, this is what you should select in the CAF.
